Although there is
much hype associated with the private channels and many people
would rather watch programs televised on them, PTV still manages
not to lose its patent aid faithful audience by presenting them
with a good serial one after the other. The latest serial to
become the talk of the town is Mehndi (Which you can see not
every but ...... on Thursday 7:45 pm). With an extraordinary
star cast that includes Humayun Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui, Ejaz
Aslam, Amna Haq, Amna Hussain, Ayesha Khan, Abid Ali, Kamran
Jilani, Qazi Wajid, Humera Jilani and Jehan Ara Have, the serial
is being presented under the banner of Evernew Entertainment.
Seems like director Javed Fail, producer Saijad Gul and the
entire cast and crew of the serial have given everything from
good publicity to good cast to IV(- acting- to make this serial
a sure-shot hit. Written by Seema Ghazal, Mehndi is a story of
four sisters v' ho get married on the same dad (courtesy their
aunt), but in store for them are the various ups and dow ns Of
married life. The main theme of the drama revolves around how
each sister deal, with the situation in hoe own way and the
courageous solution each one comes up with in order to overcome
her ordeal. This 13 episode serial project. the strong points of
womanhood and how they survive in this harsh world. According to
director Javed Fazil, "Mehndi shows the bitter sweet sentiments
and feeling, in a beautiful way . Watch one of the better
